The restaurant in the Riverside Shopping Center recently invited prominent representatives from business, politics, society and the media to celebrate its redesign. They collected donations for the “Soziales Liesing” relief fund.
Eat like it is at Bella Italia in central Vienna. This was made possible thanks to “Stastino” in the 23rd district of Vienna. As the 'little brother' of the traditional 'Stata' restaurant, Italian cuisine has been served here since the restaurant opened in 2018. With specialties such as Focaccia, portion or Italian prosciutto, the menu invites you to take a tour through Italian cuisine.
For good reason
A few days ago, Stastino opened his doors to celebrities. In collaboration with Select, a liqueur from the aperitif capital, Venice, they transformed the restaurant into the new “Vienna Riviera” to celebrate its redesign with an aperitif, different types of pizza and Italian desserts. They raised money for “social lying.”
The invitation has been accepted by, among others Gerald Bischoff (Leissing district leader), Dieter Schmillar (journalist, TV presenter and cabaret artist), Brigitte Schmillar (school counselor), Gerda Rogers (astrologer and radio presenter), Peter Scheider (Riverside owner and businessman), Friedrich Schiller (business consultant). ), Andy Lee Lang (rock and roll musicians), Michaela Kotaskova (WBF Intercontinental Champion), Alex List (DJ and journalist), Selena Graf (actress) and other representatives from the fields of television, business, politics and society.
“Stasteno Restaurant not only exceeded my culinary expectations, but also showed with its generous fundraising campaign how important it is to achieve something good together. An evening full of fun and solidarity!” said professional boxer Michaela Kotaškova.
A touch of Veneto, Italian sounds and charm
In addition to Italian specialties and drinks, there was also something to catch the attention of visitors. Bartender Julio Pereira demonstrated his skills behind the bar and introduced guests to the culture of Venetian aperitivo and the history of Select. “Select is an icon of traditional Venetian aperitifs,” says Pereira, “and due to its exquisite sweetness combined with a slight bitterness on the finish, it fits perfectly with antipasti and the new Aperitivo Time at Stastino.”
The event was accompanied musically by the Spectacollo band. They presented a mixture of the greatest Italian songs and ballads. As a special feature, Philip Caines enchanted visitors with the magic of the Italian table.
Image, donate
Stastino's newly designed photo wall—including an original Vespa—turned the celebration into a charitable event. For every souvenir photo taken with a Polaroid, money is sent to the donation fund. As a special incentive, the restaurant has promised to contribute an additional €1,000 if the donation target of €1,000 is exceeded. “We are proud of our region and grateful to our many loyal regular customers from Liesing. It is therefore natural for us to also want to give back!”, emphasized Managing Director Christoph Glotz.
Guests were excited about the event: “Not only did Stastino Restaurant bring a piece of Italy to Vienna, it also captured our hearts with its irresistibly delicious atmosphere and generous fundraising campaign. It is an absolute delight for all the senses and an unforgettable evening,” he says. Dieter Chemlar happily.
At the end of the celebration, the donation box was finally evaluated. The €1,000 target has been generously exceeded. This made it possible to donate 2,000 euros to the “Soziales Liesing” relief fund.
