The 2024 Finschgau Cup is history. ERC Ingolstadt won the championship at the international ice hockey tournament at IceForum Latsch. As on Friday in the 6:2 win over the Iserlohn Roosters, Ingolstadt also kept the upper hand against EHC Olten with a score of 5:1 on the final day. In the third place match, the Iserlohn Roosters beat Innsbrucker High 4:2.
The Panthers from Ingolstadt came into the game well this time and dominated the match from the start. Daniel Peta scored the first goal in the 13th minute. In the middle section, DEL cracks decided the match. Thanks to goals from Miles Powell, Philipp Kraus, Abbott Gerdoukis and Wayne Simpson, Ingolstadt led 5-0. On the other hand, the Swiss were getting tired. For the Olten players this was the third test match in three days. In the final third, EHC Olten still got a consolation goal, scored by Stanislav Horansky on the power play.
Iserlohn takes third place
In the second match, which took place in the evening, HC Posen and HC Postertal, the league rivals, lost 2:4 to Iserlohn Roosters (DEL). Haje initially led 1-0 and after 20 minutes 2-1. The Roosters then launched a final attack that won the match for them.
