Heavyweight band SUDDEN DEAF is preparing to release their powerful new album Havoc on October 7. SUDDEN DEAF features a nod to traditional metal music, creating a thunderous, guitar-driven sound.
Beginning with the screeching sounds of “Goin Down,” begins “ruin” because it means to continue. Soaring guitars and explosively soaring vocals combine. With SUDDEN DEAF’s latest single “Mind Control,” the quartet revealed another side of their voice. Traditional and classic rock elements pass through the track with fast-paced distorted cliffs, loud vocal harmonies and groove motifs. The “Raging Storm” diverges in a dark path with a fickle atmosphere unfolded by the devices. “Headhunter,” the first single from the album, introduces a Viking story and delves into the feelings of rage, greed, lust and loathing we all experience. Delicate guitar melodies form a “Dusk” interlude before returning to the macabre chaos of City at Sea. Cool rhythms and catchy motifs accompany the somber words in this poignant ending.
SUDDEN DEAF brings relentless energy that bleeds through their music. They carefully craft their compositions and instruments to build an unbreakable wall of sound, with each element balanced for maximum impact.
