The Swarovski crystal group, based in Wattens in Tirol, has decided to suspend its business in Russia. “Given the complexity of the situation in the region and growing concerns about the status quo Swarovski has decided to temporarily suspend its direct activities in Russia”, the company told the newspaper “Tiroler Tageszeitung” (Tuesday edition). Swarovski does not run its own business in Ukraine.
The twelve stores and the online store will be temporarily closed and “deliveries to Russia will be suspended until further notice”. However, the group confirmed that it will support the families of 80 affected employees and ensure business continuity.
Swarovski itself does not operate any stores in Ukraine, but 14 local partner stores are closed. There are two online stores that are not currently operational.
