Photographer Una B. She presents her photo series “Nordwind”, in which she is a model. She stands in a veil off the coast of Iceland, while behind her lies a mass of ice melting at sea. “Unfortunately, these are the signs of the end of the world,” she said at the opening, standing in front of her work.
Photographer duo Gerald Y. Blatner and Ferdinand “Marshall” Karl photographed themselves against different backgrounds. In the concert hall, the duo stood in front of the lens with Siersdorf municipal councilor Franz Brandl. Rudi Polant and Helga Varasin of ARTSchmidatal and Zwettler NÖN editor-in-chief Sonia Eder were also potential models.
Mayor Hermann Fischer and Member of Parliament Richard Hoegel emphasized the importance of photography and self-portrait not only in art but also in politics. Because the politician should be more photographic than the artist.
More than the usual phrase…
“The artist is there” – This phrase is often used in invitations to attract a large audience at a vernissage. After all, the artist is surrounded by such a touch of genius that you think you can get something out of it, even if you don’t buy a work of art.
