The compact mechanical keyboard also appears “without everything”.

The newly introduced Sharkoon Skiller SGK50 offers a 96 percent layout with 101 keys instead of 105 keys with much smaller dimensions (368 x 120 x 50 mm) compared to a regular full-size keyboard: this is made possible by the shorter Alt and Shift keys and the fact that they are brought closer to the number pad while simultaneously moving the pressed function block above the number pad. The keyboard is available in black or white, although the “white” color variant also includes some black keycaps that frame the main keyboard and number pad.

Sharkoon uses four different Gateron switches.

Sharkoon uses Gateron switches on its mechanical keyboard, available in red (linear, 45g resistance), brown (tactile, 45g resistance) and yellow (linear, 50g resistance) versions. The most expensive version of the keyboard uses Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow, which has the same key data as Gateron Yellow and has an increased lifespan of 50 to 100 million keystrokes. Here, instead of keycaps made of painted ABS plastic, Sharkoon also uses caps made of PBT plastic, which are marked using dye sublimation.

The keyboard with N-key switching is equipped with a 1.5-meter standard cable (USB-C on the keyboard, USB-A on the other end), which is covered with fabric and has a spiral coil. To reduce noise, the manufacturer uses a polycarbonate positioning plate and double-layer silicone damping. If you want to go your own way when choosing switches and keycaps, you can buy the Sharkoon Skiller SKG50 S2 in a stripped-down version, so to speak, “without everything”, which the user will then have to complete himself. However, this variant will be delivered only a little later.
