After the new Radeon RX 7700 / 7800 XT GPUs were officially introduced, the first dedicated models appeared. Asrock has already leaked product images for three models, and Asus has a TUF graphics card in two colors.
At long last, AMD finally introduced its current generation of mid-range graphics cards yesterday: the Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT. The official release of the models won’t happen until September 6th, but the first custom designs from the partner companies have already surfaced.
Four custom designs and one color choice
Videocardz appears to have access to official images of Asus and Asrock products, revealing the company’s first products. So Asrock wants to offer models from the Phantom Gaming, Steel Legend and Challenger series, while Asus prepares TUF Gaming in two color options.
The Asrock Radeon RX 7700 XT Challenger OC is said to be the only dedicated model that only targets one of two GPUs and only uses two fans that are about 9cm in diameter. In addition, this is a new development, while other Asrock designs are already known. For example, the RX 7700 / 7800 XT Steel Legend OC looks similar to the corresponding Radeon RX 7600-based model, and the RX 7700 / 7800 XT Phantom Gaming OC looks similar to the RX 7900 XT-based model.

The wheel is not reinvented at Asus either: the TUF Gaming OC planned there is very similar to the model based on the Radeon RX 7900 XT, so the same cooler should also be used here. Meanwhile, the company has another surprise in store, because with the Radeon RX 7700 / 7800 XT, the TUF design will also be available in white. Unfortunately, it’s not currently clear if Asus will soon release its larger graphics cards in a second color variant.
