Palestinian sources said that a 16-year-old boy was shot dead during an Israeli military operation in Jenin in the West Bank.
The Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced today that she was killed by a bullet in the head yesterday evening. According to media reports, she was found on the roof of her house.
According to the Israeli army, three suspects were arrested during an operation in the city. There were confrontations. Security forces were shot and bombs were thrown at them. A spokesman said reports of the killing of a Palestinian woman were known and were being investigated.
Fatal encounters almost every day
Jenin is a stronghold of Palestinian militants. After a series of attacks on Israelis that began in March, the army is carrying out raids there and in the West Bank in general. Fatal encounters happen almost every day.
According to the Ministry of Health in Ramallah, more than 165 Palestinians have been killed in clashes or attacks of their own this year, more than at any time since 2006.
