Today, Monday, the Verbund Supervisory Board appointed the former Verbund Executive Board for another term from January 1, 2024 and expanded the energy resource management team to include Susanna Zapreva-Hennerbichler. Zapreva-Hennerbichler’s term of office is set at two years, with the option to extend for a further two years. In the future, they will be responsible for generating energy from wind and solar energy, in addition to hydrogen.
Zabreva-Hinnerbichler has been a member of the Board of Directors of Germany’s Enercity AG, a provider of sustainable energy solutions with around 3,000 employees, since 2016. Previously, she was Managing Director of Wien Energie and Wienstrom GmbH. Among others, Zapreva-Hennerbichler is a member of the Hydrogen Council of the German Federal Government and a board member of the Federal Association of Energy and Water Industries.
Verbund’s CEO remains Michael Stroegl, who has been appointed for another five years and is responsible for the same departments as before. Peter Coleman has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for a further four years, with an option to extend for another year. Achim Kaspar has been reappointed to a three-year term with an option to extend for a further two years.
