Hannes Wolf continues his career in North American Major League Soccer. New York City FC have officially announced the signing of the 24-year-old. Wolff signed a contract that runs until 2027, including an option for another season.
Borussia Mönchengladbach are allowing the attacker to leave on a free six months before his contract expires, but are said to have a resale share of more than 15 percent. The Austrian once moved from RB Leipzig to Borussia for €9.5 million, meanwhile he was loaned out to Swansea City.
“We are delighted to welcome Hannes to New York. Although he is only 24, Hannes already has experience at the highest level in Europe, playing in the Bundesliga, Champions League and Europa League and will be a great asset to our team.”Athletic Director David Lee said.
Wolf He adds: “I am excited to begin this new chapter of my career in New York City. I look forward to joining Major League Soccer and representing one of the best clubs and cities in the league.
Wolff made a total of 69 appearances for the Foles, but has remained without a squad this season under new coach Gerardo Sion. The left-footer is now looking to revive his career in New York.
