sTevan Raab and his colleague Daniel Rozman plan to create the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) next year, media magazine DWDL reports. The Managing Directors of Raab Entertainment GmbH want to distribute the initial decisions between the channels Pro Sieben Sat.1, RTL, ZDF and ARD. All shows must be recorded in the same studio, but with the concepts of the responsible broadcaster.
It remains unclear whether the Economic and Social Council's “bailout concept” will be implemented. However, upon FAZ's request, a ZDF spokeswoman confirmed the corresponding request from Raab Entertainment. Pro Sieben Sat.1 pointed to Raab's successes in ESC selection (such as his win with singer Lena in 2010), but did not comment on the current planning. NDR, which is responsible for the ESC within ARD, and RTL also said they did not want to comment on the matter at the moment. Rapp and Roseman's concept does not seem to stipulate more precise requirements for individual performances; As dwdl writes, there is only one condition that applies to RTL: Dieter Bohlen is not allowed to be there.
