A gourmet platform has decided where the best ice cream parlors in the world are located and which varieties deserve special mention. Two local restaurants also made the ranking.
In summer you need to cool down. If it tastes good, it's even better. In keeping with summer and the high temperatures, the jury from the gourmet platform TasteAtlas voted on the best ice cream parlors and the most sought-after items. Austria, the federal capital in particular, also made it to the rankings.
There is no podium for the winners, but…
The world's 100 best ice cream parlors include Tichy, famous for its famous apricot tarts, and Gelateria Zanoni & Zanoni. Both restaurants are in Vienna. Although both ice cream parlors have a wide range of different flavours, the jury decided to declare hazelnut ice cream as the favourite for both restaurants.
Who leads the ranking?
It’s no surprise that the winning ice cream shop comes from Italy. Castiglione in Bologna won the race. According to TasteAtlas, the best ice cream flavor is pistachio.
Second place also goes to Bologna. Galliera 49 ice cream parlor came in second place as the best ice cream parlor in the voting. Here too, the pistachio ice cream was voted as the favorite.
Third place also goes to Italy. But this time not to Bologna, but to Catania. Don Peppinu ice cream shop took the last place on the winner's podium. The shop's best ice cream flavor: salted pistachio.
