Several music stars have donated their instruments to a charity auction in Los Angeles. For example, a Bruce Springsteen-designed guitar and Elton John keyboard can be bought at auction with the title “Guitar Icons” on December 11, Van Eaton Galleries announced. Organized by U2 guitarist David Howell Evans (“The Edge”) and producer Bob Ezrin, the proceeds go to their charity Music Rising.

Some of the 50 items on display have been donated by U2 members. Fans and collectors can also purchase items by Paul McCartney, Lou Reed, Dave Grohl, Rush, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Tom Morello, and Green Day.
The cheapest items are signed Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam stickers with bids starting at $500 each. Perhaps the strangest thing, a golf club bag designed by rocker Alice Cooper, is available for $2,000. Bidding can be submitted online prior to the auction date.
Music Rising was founded in 2005 and initially provided support to musicians and music schools in the southern states of the United States who lost their instruments in Hurricane Katrina. Music Rising currently works primarily with those affected by the CoV pandemic.
