Kyiv and Moscow repeatedly blame each other for the failed evacuation attempts and the ceasefire that was not adhered to. According to Ukrainian sources, 20,000 civilians managed to escape from Mariupol on Tuesday. On the other hand, it appears that transporters of food aid and medicine have been stuck in the western city of Berdyansk for days.

Meanwhile, Russia accused Ukraine of shooting at a bus convoy carrying refugees heading to the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. Four people were killed as a result. This could not initially be verified independently.
