Manchester United is in no way close to signing Matthews Cunha. According to information from Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Atlético de Madrid is not ready to negotiate the departure of the 23-year-old and indicates an exit clause.
So far, no offer has been received for being Wanda in the Spanish capital, and the striker is said to be happy with the Rojiblancos. Atletico Cunha, who came from Hertha FC just a year ago, are planning for the present and the future.
British sports radio station TalkSPORT claimed on Tuesday that United are close to moving Cunha and will pay a fee of €50 million. According to Relevo, Atletico are certainly aware of Manchester’s interest.
However, in the event of a change, a much larger amount will have to be called up, the exit clause for Cunha should be more than 80 million euros. Negotiations have not yet taken place between the two clubs.
