US election campaign: Trump mocks wind power in Germany

In the important swing state of Pennsylvania characterized by a strong middle class, fracking plays a major role in the US election campaign.

The former president continues to make headlines with false statements. Trump also continues to say that Germany has started building a new coal-fired power plant every week since the failure of fossil fuels.

His former chief of staff, John Kelly, has also sparked fresh controversy with the former president's statements about his comments about Adolf Hitler. “You know, Hitler did some good things, too,” Trump has repeatedly asked, Kelly told The New York Times. He then pointed to Hitler's racism and fascism as motivations for his actions, and the conversation mostly dried up after that, Kelly said in an interview published Tuesday.

Kelly confirmed to The Atlantic that Trump said in a conversation that he wanted loyal generals like “Hitler's generals.” A spokeswoman for Trump's campaign team denied Trump's claims. The Trump camp previously denied Kelly's credibility.
