In the United States, Hurricane Capital ends January 6, 2021. The former chief executive of Donald Trump did not want to testify before a U.S. congressional inquiry. He is now defending himself legally as well.

D.Former US President Donald Trump’s former commander-in-chief Mark Meadows is defending himself legally against summons from a congressional inquiry into the January attack on the Capitol. Meadows filed a lawsuit against Nancy Pelosi, chair of the House of Representatives and House of Representatives, in federal court in Washington on Wednesday (local time). In it, Meadows described the group’s demands for information and documents as too detailed and called on the court to violate them.

Meadows, among others, called for the exclusive – executive prerogative of US presidents to withhold certain information from Congress or the courts. Several former Trump employees have said they refuse to provide information about his tenure. Meadows argued that the committee’s requirements were “unacceptable” for him to choose between the executive presidency and the powers of the organization. The court should clarify the legal situation.

Meadows is scheduled to appear before a panel of judges on Wednesday, but Sapona has been ruled out. The panel had already made it clear that if Meadows did not appear, the group had no choice but to initiate criminal proceedings against him. The outcome of the potential charge against Meadows will be up to the judiciary.

The rule has already overtaken Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bonan. The latter refused to cooperate with the House of Representatives in the trial and is now facing court for boycotting Congress.

A panel in the US House of Representatives is set to investigate the attack on Capitol. Trump supporters besieged the US Congress seat in Washington on January 6. Five people, including a police officer, were killed.

Trump had previously faced dismissal action for the attack because he provoked his supporters in a speech at a rally. At the end of the trial, the Republicans were released.
