New York The dilemma is a math book: you can find a bar map that measures racism and classifies it according to political identity. On the other side of the book, a talk bubble explains that positive emotions and friends can help you do math problems better.
Examples like this are clear evidence that many Florida Republicans are infiltrating their state’s textbooks politically. Therefore, the responsible school authority has rejected 41 per cent of the math books submitted for the coming academic year.
Reason: They include “important racial theory” (racist attitude issue), “social emotional learning” (positive sentiment matter) or other content that is prohibited in the state.
“That’s the highest number in Florida history,” state Governor Ron Desantis told a well – planned news conference. “Mathematics is about the right answer, not about feelings or ideologies.”
