Volkswagen continues to expand the purely electric ID.7 range

Volkswagen is expanding its ID.7 model range with the ID.7 GTX – a 340-hp sedan with electric all-wheel drive.

Pre-sales in Austria began on July 4 with prices starting at €69,890. At the same time, pre-sales began for the ID.7 GTX Tourer (from €70,690), ID.7 Pro S (from €61,990) and ID.7 Tourer Pro S (from €62,790) models that were launched in March.

The new ID.7 GTX, together with the ID.7 GTX Tourer, is Volkswagen’s most powerful electric car. The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

The performance model has a WLTP range of up to 594 km. The ID.7 GTX battery is charged at DC fast charging stations with a capacity of up to 200 kW. In the best case, 26 minutes are enough to charge the 86 kWh battery from ten to 80 percent.

Like the ID.7 GTX, the 340-hp ID.7 GTX Tourer also has an electric all-wheel drive system. The rear-wheel drive ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S models develop a maximum output of 286 hp. All four new ID.7 versions are equipped with an 86-kWh battery.

The ID.7 GTX Tourer differs from the technically identical GTX sedan primarily in its rear section. The trunk of the ID.7 GTX Tourer – also available with rear-wheel drive and hence called the ID.7 Tourer – can hold up to 605 liters of luggage with five people on board.

The rear seat of the Tourer is folded in the cargo position. The maximum capacity of the ID.7 GTX sedan is 532 liters.
