Volkswagen was able to fix the IT glitch. Although the servers are back up and running, there are still problems in some areas of the company.
Volkswagen employees in particular are now feeling the consequences – including workplace consequences.

As the newspaper “Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung” (WAZ) wrote, the collapse of IT still has consequences. Phones, Wi-Fi and printers are not yet working smoothly at the Wolfsburg location. The same applies to access to the factory.
Volkswagen employees must work from home
This has consequences for employees: “This is why colleagues in the indirect area are asked to use mobile working if possible and not to work from their workplace at the Wolfsburg location,” a spokesman for the newspaper explained.
More news:
Production lines at the main factory are starting up again, but more slowly than elsewhere. As the spokesman explained, the factory is larger and more complex than other sites. That’s why it takes longer in Wolfsburg.
