The concert was titled “Gemischter Satz”, which referred to a variety of songs. From the hilarious deer cover song, to which the audience was also allowed to join in, to the Carinthian patriotic song, to a special choral version, of “Nearer My God” to Thee, everything was acted out. It all started with Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” arranged by Johannes Grill, who wrote the music specifically for the choir director Eva Maria Jugander. The Bookerucker Sisters’ “Hertsklopfen” and “Mamma Mia Medley” were also very demanding songs at the concert.
This year’s choir excursion, which everyone is really looking forward to, also leads to “Mamma Mia” in Morbiche. The choir director Eva Maria Jugander is also very pleased with the young people in the choir. With ten young singers, The Voice can be increased to the staggering number of 24.
The vocal ensemble with Leonhard, Matthias Schödl and Manuel Froeschl was also there. “The concert has become a mere celebration thanks to the many hands that have helped from all sides,” confirmed the organizer Maria Jugandère in her words of thanks.
Moderator Lukas Raab thanked Felix Stunk for making Stadl available and was able to welcome Karl Welfing, Speaker of the Lower Austrian Parliament, among the guests, who had also come to hear his daughter Magdalena sing. “I’ve got all my musical talent, so I have nothing left,” he said with a smile.
