Pepco is launching a major recall of products that pose a health or choking hazard, including women's handbags, children's clothing and bakeware.
Pepco has issued a recall for a women's navy blue quilted handbag with product number PLU 599589. Research has revealed elevated levels of plasticizers that do not comply with European REACH regulations. Customers are encouraged to return bags.
Children's underwear has been recalled due to suffocation risk
Another recall concerns children's clothing in a two-piece set (item number PLU 597227), as small parts can come loose, creating a choking hazard.
Excessive contaminant levels in crayons
Pepco is recalling several paint pen sets bearing item numbers PLU 344664, PLU 347467, PLU 349916, PLU 351997, PLU 596332, PLU 599150, PLU 599152, and PLU 599153. The affected products do not meet the requirements of the European Chemicals Regulation REACH, in particular Due to the excess content of phthalates, a chemical often used as a plasticizer in plastics. These substances are harmful to health and can cause long-term health damage, especially in children.
Potter's wheel due to high levels of lead
Pepco is recalling a pottery wheel item (Item No. PLU 596629). Recent testing has shown that the clay from the potter's wheel contains lead levels that exceed the limits of the European toy standard EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021. Lead is a toxic heavy metal that can be especially harmful to children.
Call baking molds
The third recall concerns a premium baking pan (item number PLU 348845), where the coating could peel off. It is possible to return products in branches that are still open, but due to bankruptcy no refund is possible, only exchange for other products.
