The squad will be reduced to twelve players before the start of the Summer Games on July 26. The team is coached by Warriors coach Steve Kerr, assisted by Tyronn Lue (LA Clippers) and Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat).
“Happy that so many superstars have expressed their interest”
“The United States has incredible basketball talent, and I'm thrilled that so many of the sport's superstars have expressed interest in representing our country at the 2024 Summer Olympics,” said Grant Hill, the association's executive director.
Over the summer, the U.S. will prepare for the Olympics with three Test matches. It begins with a game against Canada on July 10 in Las Vegas, with qualifiers ten days later in London against South Sudan and on July 22 against world champions Germany. The United States won the gold medal at the last Games in Tokyo.
