These days Viennese RadioKulturhaus celebrates its 25th anniversary: the end of the events surrounding this anniversary is today, Saturday, a festive concert in the large broadcasting hall, which represents a clear commitment to contemporary Austrian music: the program includes two commissioned segments, which were the experience of the world premiere tonight.
On the other hand, “11 Songs for Two Instruments” by Wolfgang Mitterer, he himself played as a “music mechanic” on the organshock in the broadcasting hall and on the computer connected to it. On the other hand, “Zieff – Notes on a Genius” by trumpeter Franz Kugelmann, is dedicated to Bob Ziv, known to those best known as trumpeter Chet Becker in the 1950s. Kugelman also acts as an interpreter for himself, in quintet with Mario Arcari (oboe, cor Ingles), Sandro Meuri (soprano and tenor saxophone, flute, alto flute), Attila Basztor (cello) and Gerhard Lapierre (percussion). Ö1 will be broadcasting this evening live with the exciting first and second shows of the party!
