12 out of 132 singer-songwriters scored: they are in the final round of the “Your Song for Lower Austria” competition. Among them is Philip Gressler of Triestingtal. He impressed the jury with his song “Vision”. He was accompanied by musicians Cornelia Granel and Gunther Forramti.
Baden region / Lower Austria. 132 singers and songwriters distributed the musical roses in “Your Song for Lower Austria”. In the singer-songwriter competition of Kultur.Region.Niederösterreich, they expressed their association with Lower Austria musically. Of these applications, 25 contributions were selected for the next round in mid-October. At the Symposium and Atzenbrugg Training Center, these 25 musicians performed live in front of a first-class jury and competed for the final.
“Everyone made a clear commitment to Lower Austria and put a lot of emotion into the script and the music. Many of the songs are true declarations of love in Lower Austria that give you goosebumps,” said Martin Lammerhuber, Managing Director of Kultur.Region.Niederösterreich. First Class about broadcaster legend Andy Marek – singer and artist Elisabeth Engstler, Astrid Wertenberger von den Cern, producer husband Wolfgang and Ulrik Lindner, producer and musician Markus Weiss, Michael Linspur of the state cultural circle, musician and curator Martin Rothinder, musician and bandleader Peter Bukowicz, musician Eric Mayer, musician and composer Bern Wagner – they did not make it easy for themselves.Finally, the selection fell on the “Top 12” songwriters who made it to the final: Gott Feeling, Leona Fichtinger, Christian Fichtinger, Stefan Gosinger, Roman Besser, Philip Gresler, Bernard Fleisner and Andy Schurg as well as Arthur Lauber, Simon Mac, Daniel Mack, George “Churge” Newman, Marty B, David Blansteiner, Vicki Weiss, Dai Wilden Kaiser and Lena Zottle.
The finalists will perform in front of an invited audience on Wednesday, November 9, from 7 p.m. at the ORF State Studio in St. Polten. Here, too, the jury will put the musicians through their paces. €1,000 (3rd place), €2,000 (2nd place) and €3,000 (1st place) are then waiting for the top three winners – the winning song will then be professionally recorded in the recording studio.
