Zumtobel expects that the negative special effects resulting from the closure can be offset in the coming years. However, the ZG Lighting France plant in Les Andelys will remain a group-wide competence center for outdoor lighting and will not be affected by the current considerations. Zumtobel only regained possession of the plant in 2020 after selling it to French industrial group Active'Invest in 2017.

Lighting manufacturer Vorarlberg has extended the contract of its CEO Alfred Felder, which originally expired in 2025, by two years. Felder will now remain in his position until September 30, 2027. The Supervisory Board relies on continuity in leadership and recognizes the previous successes of Felder, who, according to a statement on Friday, “successfully led the company through difficult times.”
Felder, who has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since February 1, 2018 and CEO since June 8, 2018, will continue to support strategic initiatives for the sustainable and profitable direction of the company. Karin Zumtobel-Schama, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Zumtobel Group AG, emphasized: “By extending the contract of Alfred Felder, we are ensuring that the initiatives we have started are supported for a sustainable and strategically profitable direction and we are ensuring continuity at the top of the company.”
“As a team with my colleagues on the Board of Directors, I will do everything in my power to continue positioning the company for the future,” Felder explained. The qualified electrical engineer came to Zumtobel in November 2012 after several international management positions at Siemens and Osram. He initially headed Tridonic's Components division before being appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) to the Board of Directors in April 2016.
